Vanguard Internet is currently in design and roll-out phases of deployment for parishes and communities in rural north and central Louisiana. The company has been meeting with state, parish, and local officials for months now and has secured multiple funding opportunities to bring fast, reliable, affordable internet service to underserved areas.
The global pandemic has outlined and illuminated the vast “digital divide” that is having consequential impacts in both education and economic development in these underserved areas. By leveraging technologies including but not limited to fixed wireless, fiber, micro-pop, and best-of-breed network design, support, installation, and monitoring, Vanguard is working to bring essential internet services to the people of Louisiana, regardless of where they choose to live.
According to Vanguard CIO, Edward Dunn, “Students and businesses are being left behind in vast areas of the state and this is simply unacceptable. Our singular mission is to be sure that every student and every business in Louisiana has the connectivity they need to compete locally, nationally, and globally.”
Vanguard Internet’s mission is to bridge the digital divide in both rural and urban areas with the fast, reliable, affordable internet service that all communities deserve.
